Webley built PHV-1 for London Sporting Park

$25,000.00

It seems that once a week we get a call for a good English double rifle that is "right." Well, here it is, and it's one of the best examples we've seen in a long time.

This 450/400 3.25" (.408" bores) was built in 1909 by Webley under private label for London Sporting Park (a shooting school of the period in Herndon, England.) It is built on the Webley PHV-1 action, and the barrel loop bears Webley's in-house serial number.

The barrels are chopper lump, 26" and the rifle has automatic ejectors. The bores are as good as you'll find in practically ANY rifle built in 1909. There is NO pitting in them.

The claw mounts and S&B scope were fitted by JJ Perodeau.

The rifle has been in a private collection for the last 17-years. It has been used, but it is apparent that the rifle was never abused.

Load data is available with the rifle for 400gr Woodleighs.

14 & 3/8" LOP | 10 pounds, 2 oz without scope
