Proved in England and imported by Cape Outfitters, this William Douglass 470 represents a great value for an "English" double rifle. The time-honored A&D patterned boxlock is well known for its reliability, and this example features Purdey double underbite with hidden Purdey third fastener.
Barrels are 23 & 3/8" shoe lump with one standing and two folding (blank) leaves that can be filed in to your desired distance. Semi-beavertail forend with lever forend latch.
The stock is in excellent condition with only minor surface marks, and features an extended trigger-guard.
Drop on the stock is minimal, and combined with the generous LOP, this rifle can be made to fit a wide variety of shooters.
JJ Perodeau has recently been through the rifle and test fired it, and he also installed a new Silvers type recoil pad and mercury recoil reducer.
